How we did with our IdM resolutions
9 January, 2005 - 6:27pm
Dave Kearns writes an interesting reflection on identity management resolutions that he recommended at the beginning of 2004.
He provides the following comments:
- First -- that the need for consolidation on standards and vendors, has made some progress.
- Second -- that some strides have been made towards placing a higher priority on privacy considerations, although a lot more remains to be done.
- Third -- that end users need more control over their data, and that some tentative moves have been made in this direction with Midentity and Sxip.
He concludes that just under two out of three of the resolutions made good headway, and that in his next column he'll propose some actions for 2005.
