Melissa Lafsky in her New York Times blog, recently queried whether OpenID is the solution to online identity theft. She suggests that many internet giants like AOL, Microsoft and VeriSign have announced support and cites Sxip's founder & CEO Dick Hardt's perspective that OpenID is the next generation of managing ID on the web. She also, however, expresses some concern with possible phishing issues.
