6 February, 2006 - 7:07am
Interested in learning how our Identity 2.0 vision applies to government and its citizens? Hear our founder and CEO Dick Hardt speak on the "Identity Management: Privacy Enhancing Technologies versus Privacy Invasive Technologies" panel later this week in Victoria, Canada at the Security and Privacy Conference.
The other esteemed panelists include: Curtis Blais with Telus, Dr. Roger Clarke with the Australian Privacy Foundation, and Andre Brisson with Whitenoise Laboratories. The full abstract for Dick's presentation is as follows:
- As we increasingly exchange information on the Web it’s becoming necessary to be able to prove who you are. However, how do you accomplish this, while providing for individual privacy and the security concerns of government?
Identity 2.0 enables users to make informed decisions on who they release their data to and under what terms and conditions, and gives organizations greater certainty on who they are dealing with. In this presentation, Dick Hardt will discuss the challenges and solutions inherent in Identity 2.0.
