A New Sxipper User Every Two Minutes!

7 December, 2006 - 7:55am

Wow! We're delighted with the interest shown by the Firefox community in Sxipper, our free new plugin that saves you time on the web by keeping track of all of your user IDs, passwords, and personal data. The beta was released at IIW on Tuesday and within 24 hours we were averaging a new user every two minutes.

A sampling of some of the great comments on Sxipper so far:

"You'll never forget a password again. In fact, you won't even need to remember a password again." Michael Calore, Wired

"Sxipper is extensible; it lets users "map" new forms... So rather than do a lot of semantic tagging itself, Sxipper relies on user-generated metadata to parse each new form once only, and then shares the results among its users. Pretty cool." Esther Dyson. ZDNet

"Sxipper is definitely cool and slick. From what I see, I'd describe it as a client-side OpenID persona manager, simplifying for users the choice and use of different personnas at different sites." Paul Madsen, ConnectID

"Steve Gillmor remarked to me that Sxipper is a great example of a product that points out a problem you might not have known you had and then solves it brilliantly. I agree. Once you've started logging in to a site with a single click, you don't want go back..." Phil Windley, ZDNet
